Test Drive #1
Waking up: You wake up in a bed that is not your own, in a room that is not your own. But the more you think about it, you can't remember what your room looked like. In fact, you can't remember anything at all! But hey, at least you're not the only person around. Reach out, find someone, and get some answers. The Dream: Haibane enter this world without most memories, but they do remember one thing: their cocoon dream. But it's not so easy to understand, is it? Maybe talking through it with someone else will help you figure out just what your dream means. Wings aren't easy to use: So, you're a Haibane. Awesome. But you know what's not awesome? Getting used to these darn wings, that's what. Suddenly having two extra limbs that you're not sure how to control isn't easy, and they're liable to bump into things and just plain get in the way. Actually, you might want to apologize for unintentionally hitting that person in the face, or help clean up that lamp you knocked over. On the town: Glie is a beautiful city, and there are a lot of places to explore! So why not check some of them out? Everyone seems friendly enough, and the townspeople are more than willing to help anyone who gets lost. Check out the setting page, pick a spot, and go check it out! Wintertime: It's wintertime in Glie, which means snow, snow, snow! And even though it's cold, the sun is shining, so the cold is bearable today. What are you going to do? Go sledding? Have a snowball fight? Make snow angels? Well, that last one should be a lot easier to do now. Player choice: Don't like these prompts? Come up with your own! The city of Glie is quite large, and there is a lot to do. |

[Unfortunately new, and unfortunately stubborn, this new Heibane seems. He turns to face the man talking, taking a moment to give him an up-down stare before letting those wings on his back go still. They already ached a little at the root, but that hadn't stopped him.
He huffs out a low sigh, a hand on his hip as he waves the other in the air a little irritably.]
...A little nonsensical, isn't it. To be born with a pair of sodding wings on your back, and not even able to use them for anything of real measure.

His wings are a fluffy blue-grey, reminiscent of fur rather than feathers in some ways. They flutter, briefly; having something like this that moves in a different way feels...strangely familiar, somehow. ] You'll become used to them. The only thing you need to worry about is cutting holes in all your clothing, more or less. And covering them for winter.
[ He has some neatly stitched wing covers, but he hasn't put them on today. Sometimes he just likes to air them, even in the cold. ] My name is Mondlicht. Who might you be?
/ v \ i love blazblue
'Covering them for winter', huh. Never thought I'd have t'worry about something like wingtips freezing. Crivens. [He laughs a little at his own joke, his voice somewhat lethargic--nearly lazy in how he delivers.]
Name's Grey.
Least, that's the one they gave me. Still can't remember what it used to be, or whatever.
well i love fire emblem \ o / so there!!
Hrm. That dream of yours must not have been very colourful, then. [ The only thing he remembers about his own dream is the moon's light, going from bright white to red; similarly, he'd woken up with only that word - his name - in mind. It doesn't feel right, but he can't be nameless either. ]
\ o / !! waaaaa
A hand ruffling through that fiery hair of his as he brings back the images of his dreams. No, they hadn't been colourful at all. Most of the scenes were at night, or with a cold grey sky above his head.]
As fer that... you definitely ain't wrong. I must'a lived in a really drab place. That, or I was some sort of lover of dark skies and cloudy days.
no subject
[ He looks up at the sky for a moment, as Grey mentions such things. ] You arrived at a good time, if you enjoy such weather. I've heard the winters are long here.
no subject
Haaa, I don't think I'd have a problem with that. Better'n being aimless. [His hands slide into his pockets, and he also turns his head up towards the sky.]
That right? The way you talk. Sounds like you've been here for a while. Or at least, that ya've talked to someone who's been here a while.
no subject
Work is expected here, so if you're searching for a purpose, you'll have much to do.
It's not as if we're not allowed to talk to the villagers - or the haibane who are here already. I find it best to know what I can, to prepare for anything ahead. [ He tugs idly at his worn gloves. He has pockets, sure, but he doesn't feel the need to use them. ] I am particularly looking forward to whenever the next market day comes around, myself.

--Hoh. Market days, huh. Looking to get yourself a few personables, then? Ain't like we got much ourselves, but...
...I've been craving something sweet ever since I woke up.

I'm interested in seeing the wares that people bring in from outside the town, certainly. And if we're to stay here a while, there's no harm in having a few trinkets. [ Something in him disapproves of the idea of secondhand decorations, but that's overridden by the fact that his room looks a bit bare and he'd like to customise it. ] I look forward to it.
Ah, you've a sweet tooth. I believe there's a place or two in town that will see much patronage from you, then. [ And is somewhere the young feathers occasionally beg him to visit, too. ]
no subject
Ain't really one for trinkets, but I'll agree that I'm interested in seeing some of the stuff people can bring, too. Who knows, maybe I'll even be able to barter for a cake...
[He can't help a little bit of a laugh, his shoulders rising a bit with it.]
No harm in indulging a little, right? Be it trinkets or whatever else.
no subject
..Mm. [ He seems to be having conflicting thoughts about that, but it passes quickly, on the whole. ] No harm in it, indeed.
