[He blinks out of the reverie he was lulled into outside of a bakery window. He looks over his shoulder to see a young man with blond hair. A wry smile crosses his lips.] Does it show that much? [He notices the other boy has a pair of wings like he does.] I suppose it really does make you and me both.
[He turns around both to better face his new-found companion and to take another overlook of the town.] It's nice and quaint. There's obviously life here, but it doesn't feel busy and overwhelming. [All well meant, but even so his facial features look pressed. A pause, as he contemplates the scenery and the situation, but he can't really come to any satisfactory conclusion.]
I went on a walk hoping to get acquainted with everything, but I still feel so disconnected. Everyone here is just carrying out their lives, and here I can't remember anything. It's... [what's a good word for this?] disconcerting.
